Our first campaign is Hot Springs Island by Jacob Hurst, Evan Peterson, and Donnie Garcia. We’re running this module with D&D 5th Edition. In Hot Springs Island, the players are the spark that ignites a powder keg of factional rivalries. The coolest thing (we think) about Hot Springs Island is that it provides a player-facing gazetteer. The players literally have a map and guide to the flora and fauna as they explore this sprawling sandbox adventure. Content warning: Hot Springs Island explicitly deals with themes of colonialism and slavery (including sexual slavery). We record our sessions—usually around 4 hours each—remotely using a plethora of technologies (Zencastr, Zencast.fm, Reaper, OBS) and hardware (microphones, headphones, acoustic room treatment) and we’re trying new things all the time to improve both the recorded sound and the final product.
